Tightened aviation security at European airports
The Federal Ministry of the Interior points out that, as of Monday, 6 November 2006, passengers may only take a limited amount of liquids in their hand luggage and through checkpoints. The European Union has adopted new security regulations in response to the foiled London attacks of 10 August 2006, when liquid explosives were used to attempt an attack against civil aviation.
